The 100A double pole isolator takes 2 modules, so the free ways are the module count minus 2: PCU0402M has 2 free ways, PCU0604M 4, PCU1008M 8, PCU1412M 12, PCU1816M 16 and PCU2220M 20.
BS 7671 requires consumer units in domestic premises to be made of non combustible material, or housed in a non combustible enclosure. A steel board like the Protego meets that rule.
