Kosnic emergency lighting for offices, shops, schools, rentals and commercial buildings: exit signs, emergency downlights, twin spots and emergency conversion modules.
Exit signs include the Doxa II with multiple mounting positions, the Kalem II LED exit sign, and the Mulu combined emergency light and exit sign (IP65, 3 hour, non maintained). For open areas there is the Nitro 3W emergency downlight and the Orda II IP65 twin spot. To turn standard fittings into emergency fittings, we stock the UEM04/ST 4W universal self test module, the BEM303/SST 3W batten module, and the EMDD202 2W module for Kosnic LED DD fittings and bulkheads.

Non maintained lights only come on when the mains supply fails. Maintained lights are on all the time and stay on from their battery when the power fails, which suits places like cinemas or bars where the light is needed while people are in. The Kosnic Mulu and Nitro are non maintained.
Emergency lighting has to be tested monthly with a short test and yearly for its full duration under BS 5266-1. A self test unit, like the Kosnic UEM04/ST or BEM303/SST module, runs these tests automatically and shows a fault light, which cuts down site visits. Manual units are tested with a test key switch.
A module that fits inside a standard light fitting with a battery, so the fitting also works as an emergency light. The UEM04/ST is a 4W universal self test module, the BEM303/SST suits battens, and the EMDD202 suits Kosnic LED DD fittings and bulkheads.
The Doxa II is a standard exit sign with multiple mounting positions. The Kalem II is a slim LED exit sign. The Mulu is a combined emergency light and exit sign, IP65 rated for damp areas, with a running man legend.
Most commercial buildings need 3 hours of emergency lighting under BS 5266-1. The Kosnic Mulu is rated for 3 hours. Check the fire risk assessment for the building.
